Please welcome little Bethan into this world.
She’s a sassy little lady, full of laughter and spirit. It took me quite some time to bring Bethan and her lively character into this world. She definitively has a mind of her own and – oh my – her giggles are simply contagious.
Bethan is about 31cm /12inches tall. Her head is fully needle felted and covered with cotton jersey. Her friendly expression is then needle sculpted, colored and finished with sparkly black teddy bear glass eyes.
Bethan’s body is weighted with steel pellets and glass beads securely hidden in her tummy. The arms are stuffed with firmly rolled wool and the legs are needle felted with a knee joint. Due to its construction and weight, the doll is rather floppy which allows great posing and wonderful cuddles.
Her hair is a lovely blonde mohair weft, sewn to the head. The hair can be styled gently.
Little Bethan is wearing cotton undies, warm velour cotton trousers, a floral cotton dress, a hand knitted cardigan, little socks and a pointed hat. Her shoes are wet felted from brown Shetland wool.
Bethan also brings along her little teddy friend
(needle and wet felted miniature teddy bear)
Bethan is such a joy to have around. Her friendly expression is heartwarming and it won’t be easy to let her travel. Countless happy work hours went into the creation of this unique little doll child from start with just a lump of wool to the finishing touches. From her tiny ears, her cute belly button down to the happy feet she’s made with great care and lots of love.
Bethan is already promised to her wonderful new Mama and she will soon start her journey to France.
Please note that all my creations are handmade with great care and joy. Due to the delicate nature and tiny details my dolls are meant as decorative items for the adult collector only. They are not toys and can be a choking hazard.
Thank you very much for visiting and Thank you for your interest in my work!
Oh Regina, I’m a little bit in love with Bethan, glad she has already got a home.
